Ellen Pine Sengelmann, who lived on upper Kenter for 12 years, passed away on Tuesday, November 21 in a fire that destroyed her home. It is believed that the source of the fire was an automobile in the garage below her bedroom and that Ellen and her two dogs died in their sleep of smoke inhalation.
A retired nurse, Ellen was a funny and kind neighbor, mother and grandmother who always had a friendly smile and a nice word for all she encountered. She will be missed and the Crestwood Hills community extends its condolences to her entire family for their loss. — Rob P.
