I. Call to Order

The meeting was called to order at 8:04 pm by Cece Karz.

II. Minutes

The minutes from the July 28th meeting were approved as submitted online.

III. Treasurer’s Report. Rob reported that the association has 116 members, and described our current financial situation. The board discussed the possibility of collecting dues on a calendar year basis.

IV. Old Business.

A. Kyle and Cece will walk the upper park with the LA Parks foundation to discuss the scope of the Scott Regberg memorial.

B. Thursday August 25th will be the day for work in the archives, starting at 10.

C. Alex updated us on FarmScape, the possibility of having a community garden in theAssociation’s land on upper Tigertail.

D. The board noted the potentially dangerous traffic congestion on Hanley, especially if a fire occurred, and discussed the possibility of asking that parking be banned on one side of dangerous curves.

E. Rob provided an update of the rental situation with the nursery school.

V. New Business

A.  The board will invite representatives from the nursery school to attend the October board meeting.

B. The board set September 25th as the date for our annual Softball game.

The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, September 20th at Alex MacDowell’s,  925 Stonehill.
