Annual Meeting

I.    Call to Order
The meeting was called to order at 6:39 pm by Kyle Kozloff. Present were residents who have lived in the community for over 50 years.
II. The board members were introduced.
III. Treasurer’s Report. Robert Plotkowski reported that we are in the black for the second year in a row.
IV. Year in Review
a. Emergency Preparedness. Fire is a significant risk. We have done brush clearance. It would be very good to set up links of emergency contacts in the community.
b. CHA Website. We are improving the CHA Website. It would help to have updated email addresses, etc. so that communication within the community can be improved.
c. Archives. We have wonderful pictures dating back to the founding of the community, which were projected after the meeting.
d. CH Nursery School. Cece Karz has been in close contact with the nursery school.
e. Trees and Architecture. These committees are crucial to the community.
f. Community Events. Our softball game was very successful.
g. In Memoriam. The community suffered a real loss when Scott Regberg, former president of the board died suddenly last summer. Dr. Gerald H. Levin, Hans Baerwald and a number of other residents died during the year.2.
V. Guest Presentation — Farmscape. Alex MacDowell introduced Rachel from Farmscape who talked to the community about organic gardens.
VI. Election of Board Members. Hagy Belzberg, Ara Kermanikian, Kyle Kozloff, Robert Plotkowski and Eric Reed were elected to the board.
VII. Announcements. A mountain lion has been sighted several times in on the fire road above Kenter, and appears to have killed deer on Tigertail.
Charles, who staffs the park, was introduced.
VIII. Public Comment. A number of suggestions, such as getting a list of preferred trees, were made from the floor. One resident objected to residents having their gardeners cut neighbor’s trees to improve views.  Dwarf trees that will not grow tall are now available.
IX. Adjournment. The meeting was adjourned at 7:23.
